What is the Orient Subaris? A 52-inch premium ceiling fan pairing a vintage-styled body with decorative glass lampshades and an integrated underlight. A 100% copper motor drives five rust-resistant blades, delivering 270 CMM of airflow across a 1300mm sweep at 80W.

How much air does it move? 270 CMM across a 1300mm sweep from five blades at 250 RPM. Five blades run quieter and more evenly balanced than the usual three configuration — smoother, quieter operation in exchange for slightly less raw thrust.

How is it controlled? Fan speed is set using your wall regulator and on-off switch. The pull chain operates the lamp only. There is no remote control with this unit. If you want remote, app or voice control, our Orient Aeroslim is the model to consider.

Are bulbs included? No. The lampshades ship without bulbs, so you'll need to supply your own. Check the holder type before ordering so you buy the correct fitting — it's the most common oversight with this fan.

What is the lighting like? Decorative frosted glass lampshades beneath the motor housing give a soft, diffused light rather than a harsh downward beam. In many living and dining rooms it removes the need for a separate ceiling light, switched independently by its own pull chain.

Why does the motor reverse? Anti-clockwise pushes air down for cooling. Clockwise draws air upward and recirculates warmer air sitting at ceiling level — useful in air-conditioned rooms where you want circulation without a direct draught.

Copper windings run cooler and last longer than aluminium equivalents, and the bearings are what keep a fan quiet over years rather than months.
